SEVA Dial '108' in Emergency Project Ambulances launched in Punjab

From 3rd April 2011, the residents of Punjab can now Dial 108 in any Emergency and get a well equipped ambulance free of cost as part of the Emergency Response Services (ERS) launched in the state.

The project named 'SEVA' will cover the entire state of Punjab with a network of fully equipped 240 ambulances by 2011. The first lot of 90 Ambulances will be operational in the districts of Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Firozpur, Bathinda, Kapurthala, Nawa Shahar & Muktsar.

This service was flagged off by the Honorable Chief Minister: Sardar Prakash Singh Badal and the State Health Minister, Prof Laxmi Kant Chawala. Over 3000 people attended this massive launch event.  The work of Ziqitza Health Care Limited was appreciated by both the Chief Minister and the State Health Minister of Punjab. The Health officials department exclusively applauded ZHL for the transparency and professionalism in this project.
